Vtg 1970s crafted metal and gem Wiccan spell casting wand

 

Way back in the 1970s and 1980s, when I was a young girl we used to make yearly pilgrimages to the Witch Shoppe owned by Laurie Cabot in Salem Massachusetts. In this delightful store were love potions and candles, herbs, spices and figurines. The store also sold these little wands (and of course larger sizes) that were handcrafted by a local metal worker / wand artist.
Measuring 5 inches long, not including the tassel it is crafted out of what looks to be a liquid brass. It doesn’t smell like brass. But it is the color of brass. As you can see in the pictures it is inset with glass gems, cabochons, and faceted jewels. A neat little hard to find item.
The tassel looks a bit tired, but the condition is excellent considering it’s between 40 and 50 years old.
