I love this pup.

Check it out on Ebay here.

1952 Original V M Metallo Mid-Century TERRIER Dog Portrait Oil Painting

Beautifully painted portrait of this beloved pup.

I believe this was commissioned and they chose a very talented artist.
Classical rendition signed V. M. Metallo and dated 1952.
This may be a smooth fox terrier, rat terrier or Jack Russel terrier.
There are some condition issues. Please see photos.
Easily touched up but it looks fabulous as is.
From a nice Rhode Island estate. Please see the other dog portrait I picked up there, a very handsome Pomeranian.

VINTAGE Catholic ST. ANNE DE BEAUPRE Statue Figurine France

Lovely 5" tall religious figure is cast and I am not sure of the metal but it does have an added bronze patina. Beautifully made and quite heavy for its size.

Marked France.

The Basicilca of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is in Quebec and very popular with pilgrims. It has been credited by the Catholic Church with many miracles of curing the sick and disabled.

Anne is the patron saint of sailors, mothers, grandmothers, married couples and the infertile, equestrians, lace makers, miners, the poor, seamstresses and women in labor.

Saint Anne's Feast Day is celebrated on July 26. It is preceded by a Novena to Saint Anne, July 17 to July 25.

1950 Betty Crocker Picture Cook Book w Pie Crust Quest & Bonanza of Clippings

1950 Betty Crocker Picture Cook Book 1950 1st Ed. Second printing comes as I found it, with one women's quest for the best pie crust in an envelope plus a fabulous bonanza of period news and magazine clippings of Betty Crocker recipes. It' was so much fun to go through.

The HC book is in very nice condition and still has the very chippy remains of the book jacket dust cover whose remains were found enclosed in the book.
This is a wonderful all round cookbook that will easily see you through any culinary situation. Rock solid fundamental techniques explained in an easy way, often illustrated or photographed. Probably why it's still so popular to this very day.

Vtg 1930s Baby Pan and his flute bookends by Helen Leidloff

Just the most adorable little baby Pan faces! Designed by Helen Liedloff , and made by the Fan Co. they are heavy, and seem to be made of a clay that would be used for bricks . One of the little pan babies has damage to his horn. And a couple of little chips to his base as you can see in the photos.
If you have been looking for these particular bookends, you know they’re hard to find. The finish is in very good condition, especially considering they’re over 90 years old. Please see all of the photos for the full description of the finish as there is, of course some wear.
They stand 6 1/4 inches tall 4 inches wide 3 inches deep.

Check them out on Etsy.

Elaborately Embellished Infant of Prague Statue

Somebody loved this infant of Prague very much. The loving details like the heavily beaded hat, and the unusual treatment of beads and sequence sown into the hem of the cape. Made of plaster this baby Jesus has a nicely painted face and hand.
The statue stands 13 inches high. It’s very unusual and almost a folk art like treatment of Jesus.
The under dress has yellowed a bit with age.

Check him out in our Etsy shop here.
