Woonsocket Call Pat Gratton's Among Ourselves Cookbook RI Community Recipes 70s

A collection of recipes contributed by Woonsocket Call readers and assembled by beloved columnist
Pat Gratton sometime in the late 1970s. The book includes various recipes that have been tried and tested
by the community, making it a reliable source of cooking inspiration.
So many regional treats. The recipe for Dynamite has a brilliant secret ingredient, a sachet of
pickling spice. If stuff like that interests you, you will love this cookbook.
Stuffies, chowder, seafood and all manner of sweets and baked goods.
I was surprised by the amount of thoughtful diabetic recipes for desserts.
I love the reader's aliases.
Sure to be a family heirloom.
Some wear and tear noted.

1950 Betty Crocker Picture Cook Book w Pie Crust Quest & Bonanza of Clippings

1950 Betty Crocker Picture Cook Book 1950 1st Ed. Second printing comes as I found it, with one women's quest for the best pie crust in an envelope plus a fabulous bonanza of period news and magazine clippings of Betty Crocker recipes. It' was so much fun to go through.

The HC book is in very nice condition and still has the very chippy remains of the book jacket dust cover whose remains were found enclosed in the book.
This is a wonderful all round cookbook that will easily see you through any culinary situation. Rock solid fundamental techniques explained in an easy way, often illustrated or photographed. Probably why it's still so popular to this very day.
