When I went to do research on this piece, I found it to be a real mystery. The snake handle and flowered body in this exact style can be found on antique , English, James Dudson Stoneware jugs from the mid-Victorian era. This gothic ewer is done in that style but stretched to a taller body and not made of the same material. Although the item is marked Coalport, it is definitely not Coalport. It is, however, a very fancy pitcher that would look fabulous in any production of Dracula, or any vampire related blood drinking event.
In excellent vintage condition, it is without damage.
