c 1930 BW Photo Park Street Boston Massachusetts Statehouse 223/1000

So much going on in this matted,framed, and numbered silver gelatin photo.  Chilly Bostonians attend to their business in the heart of the city next to  Boston Common, looking up towards the gold dome of the Massachusetts statehouse.  Some businesses are still here but most are gone, with some not forgotten. Late 1920s early 1930s? I am unsure of the significance of this image, but it looks like a press photo.  It has been numbered 223/1000.  I hope more information would be available on the back of the photographic image.  8" x 10" image in a 14" x 17" (approx.) frame. The frame is chippy and shabby but ready to hang. Check out the ebay auction here
