Indulge in a trip down memory lane with this vintage menu from The Ship in Lynnfield, MA, circa the 1970s. It was the ultimate nautical themed restaurant as an actual ship but on the side of the highway. The ship was built as an American Brigantine and was believed to be the first square rigged vessel built in 100 years. The food was delicious. They had functions and a special businessmen's luncheon as well. This is sure to evoke fond memories. Wear and tear noted. |
Sweet little white piggy bank with a flower decorating his back. Made in Portugal by Loucas Noe. Imported by Tracey Imports of Lakeville, Ma. Mid century. Approximately 6 inches long and 3.25 inches tall. This playful pig is in very good condition with some shelf wear and some crazing. The stopper works and fits well but it is a bit beat up. |

So much going on in this matted,framed, and numbered silver gelatin photo. Chilly Bostonians attend to their business in the heart of the city next to Boston Common, looking up towards the gold dome of the Massachusetts statehouse. Some businesses are still here but most are gone, with some not forgotten. Late 1920s early 1930s? I am unsure of the significance of this image, but it looks like a press photo. It has been numbered 223/1000. I hope more information would be available on the back of the photographic image. 8" x 10" image in a 14" x 17" (approx.) frame. The frame is chippy and shabby but ready to hang. |
