Pair of Florentine Embossed Leather Botticelli Paintings Primavera and The Birth of Venus Mid Century Set

Made in postwar Florence, Italy, these two framed pictures are made out of embossed leather. Each of the pictures is a different Botticelli. One is Sandra Botticelli‘s Primavera, the other is Botticelli‘s The Birth of Venus. Each is mounted in a heavy wooden frame. Each measures 17 1/2“ x 21“. The picture depicting the birth of Venus has some small damage toward the bottom of the image. In the last photo you can see the arrows I have drawn to the damage. I love the mixture of colors that are painted on in a jewel like fashion.

Vtg Pair 1930s Italian Gesso Wood Framed Jesus and Virgin Mary

SOLD! Made in Italy in the 1930s this beautiful pair of religious pictures are in very good shape. The Jesus portrait is a study of the head of Christ for the Last Supper originally done in 1595 by Leonardo da Vinci. This image was photographed in 1911 and this print is made after that photo. The lovely portrait of the Virgin Mary is a section from a fresco by Bernardino Luini . A member of Leonardo‘s Circle. And was photographed in 1909.
