This endearing scene is delightfully captured by an extremly talented Anri wood carver. 

It evokes very sentimental feelings. Masterful work.

The carving is a larger size, approximately 3" wide  x 7" tall and marked Italy on the bottom.

It is signed illegibly by the artist.

Wonderful condition for it's age. It has wear, especially at the base. It was cared for but some dusty crevices.

There is a small nick at the bottom of the man's jacket but there is the paint inside the nick by the artist. It is an artisan inclusion. 

Most likely made mid century but could be earlier.

It would be a perfect wedding or anniversary gift.

Gorgeous Infant of Prague Statue Large 1966 Columbia Statuary Italy 19"

This breathtaking chalkware statue is approx. 19" tall and certainly commandeers the presence of any room.The child's face is exceptional. The blue eyes are piercing. The lacy gown and cape are extraordinary and regally enhanced with metallic silver thread. There are three red ribbons pinned to the gowns bottom.

From a fine local estate. Made by Columbia Statuary, 1966 in Italy and lovingly care for by one owner.

In wonderful condition with the gown overall slightly yellowed by age, dusty in corners and crevices and there are some stains on the inside of gown and cape and loose threads here and there. The edges are raw where the hands poke out. The top of the crown comes out and is easily placed back in. The cross on the orb does spin around but is secure.

You'd be hard pressed to find a nice version.

It is sure to be a family heirloom.

Italy Rooster Pitcher Farmhouse Sangria Jug 10.5 Inches Tall

I absolutely love the colors and dynamic paint job on this rooster jug. It is unusually handsome in brown and blue. Standing 10 1/2 inches tall, this pitcher is in excellent condition. The bottom is marked Made in Italy. No chips no cracks no crazing.

Mulberry Blue Burmese Art Glass Candy Dish Hand Made in Italy

A wonderful piece of Italian art glass that is just loaded with color. The body of this candy dish is made up of white glass cased in mulberry glass, that is a gorgeous blue color on the bottom. The piece is satin finished, edge crimped and decorated with blueberries and leaves. The 3 feet and the top lip of the piece are done in amber colored glass.
The little catchall measures 5“ across and 3 1/8 inches high.

Pair of Florentine Embossed Leather Botticelli Paintings Primavera and The Birth of Venus Mid Century Set

Made in postwar Florence, Italy, these two framed pictures are made out of embossed leather. Each of the pictures is a different Botticelli. One is Sandra Botticelli‘s Primavera, the other is Botticelli‘s The Birth of Venus. Each is mounted in a heavy wooden frame. Each measures 17 1/2“ x 21“. The picture depicting the birth of Venus has some small damage toward the bottom of the image. In the last photo you can see the arrows I have drawn to the damage. I love the mixture of colors that are painted on in a jewel like fashion.

Modernist Italy Thin Cuff Sterling Silver Bracelet

Thin cuff bracelet made of sterling silver and black in the center channel. Marked on a plaque 925 Italy. The style is reminiscent of a modernist barbwire or crown of thorns. The bracelet measures 6 1/4 inches long. Most likely from the 1980s or 90s.

Sale! Abalone Silver Pendant on Choker Length Sterling Chain Antique Pendant

I bought this wonderful antique abalone pendant in France years ago. The cable chain (marked 925 Italy) is an obvious later addition but is a nice choice with a strong catch.
The pendant is unmarked (It acid tested as 800 silver) and is handmade as can be seen when viewing the cut outs on the obverse side.
The wear is typical for the age and materials (some of the small round ball decorations are a wee bit flattened)
The chain is 16" long

Vtg ANRI Wooden Carved Elderly Couple Made in Italy

Standing approximately 5 inches this adorable little elderly couple are hand carved in Italy. ANRI woodcarvings are famous the world round and these two little figures are fine examples of the type of art that they produce. In terrific vintage condition, there is a small amount of loss of paint to the very mouth piece of the old man’s clarinet. Most likely carved in the 30s or 40s.

Vtg Pair 1930s Italian Gesso Wood Framed Jesus and Virgin Mary

SOLD! Made in Italy in the 1930s this beautiful pair of religious pictures are in very good shape. The Jesus portrait is a study of the head of Christ for the Last Supper originally done in 1595 by Leonardo da Vinci. This image was photographed in 1911 and this print is made after that photo. The lovely portrait of the Virgin Mary is a section from a fresco by Bernardino Luini . A member of Leonardo‘s Circle. And was photographed in 1909.
