Vtg Mouth of Truth sterling silver chain bracelet

This vintage charm of the Bocca Della Verita, “ The Mouth of Truth” is a replica of a marble image with a man like face that exists in Rome, Italy.
Legend has it,that it was believed that if one told a lie, while placing one’s hand in the open mouth of the sculpture, it would be bitten off.
The statue is located in the portico of the church of Santa Maria in Rome.
The charm is made out of 800 silver and has all of the detail and cracks that are represented in the original. The charm is hanging on a Sterling Silver, 925 Italian, 7 inch chain bracelet.
The combined weight of the two pieces is 5.5 g. In excellent used condition.

Jugendstil Movement 800 Silver and Glass Master Salt Antique Salt Cellar

This beautiful little open salt cellar is made of 800 silver and glass. The oriental influence in the silverwork and the lines of the forget me not flowers speaks so much to the German Jugendstil movement of the end of the 19th century.
This precious little item is marked Gisch 800. I went over the bottom section of the salt cellar with a bit of silver cleaner, I did not do the handle because I liked the patina.
I leave all future patina decisions to the future owner.

Sale! Abalone Silver Pendant on Choker Length Sterling Chain Antique Pendant

I bought this wonderful antique abalone pendant in France years ago. The cable chain (marked 925 Italy) is an obvious later addition but is a nice choice with a strong catch.
The pendant is unmarked (It acid tested as 800 silver) and is handmade as can be seen when viewing the cut outs on the obverse side.
The wear is typical for the age and materials (some of the small round ball decorations are a wee bit flattened)
The chain is 16" long

Antique Sterling Archangel Michael Medal

Exceptional Art Nouveau Silver Medal

St.Michael is the patron saint of police officers, paramedics and the military.

Apart from his being a patron of warriors, the sick and the suffering also consider Archangel Michael their patron saint.

Based on the legend of his 8th-century apparition at Mont-Saint-Michel, France, the Archangel is the patron of mariners in this famous sanctuary.

We've never seen another like it.

Available at JunkQueenJellyBean.

We we also acquired a stunning St. Roch medal from this estate. Patron saint of dogs.

You can check out our other religious memorabilia here.
