Exceptional Pair of Taisho Period Fine Eggshell Kutani Peony 1000 Butterfly Cups and Saucers

Some of the most beautiful Japanese eggshell porcelain combined with outstanding enameling talent went into the making of these two beautiful cups and saucers. Made during the Taisho period, they come from the first quarter of the 20th century. The painting of the peony flower and the greenery and leaves that are painted under the base are breathtaking. The butterflies are painted in elegant, minute detail. There are even a few dragonflies. Very rare Kutani ware. In amazingly perfect condition. Please see all of the photographs as they are proudly part of the description.
The saucers are almost 6 inches in diameter.

Matching Pair Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Bowls 1820-1840

Created in China during the early 19th century, 1820 to 1840, these beautiful matching enamel painted porcelain bowls were made for the export market to the Middle East and India.

Measuring 7 7/8 inches in diameter, they are colorfully hand-painted and in remarkable condition for being 200 years old.

Each dish does have a minor fault as the arrows point to in the last two pictures. One of the dishes has a small lip chip, the other has a short tight time line.

Please study the pictures for a full condition description, and to appreciate the artistry involved in their creation.
