Heavily Gilded Chinese Export Famille Rose Medallion Candlesticks 10 in

Stunning set of candlesticks are 10 inches tall and in very good condition.

The main cartouches on either stick feature bucolic scenes of study and leisure.
Pairs of birds and butterflies with peonies and peaches all amid heavy handed gilding.
There is wash and shelf wear and manufacturing flaws like kiln grit and iron spots.

The remains of adhesive on the bottom.

See the 10 day eBay auction here.

Chinese Export Famille Rose Canton Coffee Cup Can Tankard Birds Butterflies

Gorgeous hand painting featuring peonies, birds and butterflies
The mug is unusually large at approximately 4 1/2" tall and the diameter is approximately 4 inches wide.
Well painted, with a nice clean foot. Elaborate twisted handle with raised areas.
Beautiful enamel colors amid thoughtful outlining and shading.
The cup is in good condition with manufacturing flaws such as glaze pops, iron spots and kiln grit.
There is damage to the handle and rims, wear and gold loss. Still lovely despite all that.

Pair of Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Bowls 1820-1840 Beauties

Created in China during the early 19th century, 1820 to 1840, these beautiful matching enamel painted porcelain bowls were made for the export market to the Middle East and India.

Measuring 7 7/8 inches in diameter, they are colorfully hand-painted and in remarkable condition for being 200 years old.

Each dish does have a minor fault, as the arrows point to in the last two pictures. One of the dishes has a small lip chip, the other has a short tight time line.

Please study the pictures for a full condition description, and to appreciate the artistry involved in their creation.

Check them out in our Etsy shop here.
