Vtg Chinese Export Porcelain Rose Canton Plate Quilin Bird Auspicious Symbols

 

This hand painted, enameled Rose Canton Chinese export plate features a quilin with a bird,  auspicious symbols and coins. This 10 inch plate is just a delightful piece of art. Nicely and neatly painted. I am unsure of its age. I am no expert so I offer it at auction for your consideration. No damage and the gilding has fared very well. See the ebay auction here.

Gorgeous hand painting featuring peonies, birds and butterflies The mug is unusually large at approximately 4 1/2" tall and the diameter is approximately 4 inches wide. Well painted, with a nice clean foot. Elaborate twisted handle with raised areas.  Beautiful enamel colors amid thoughtful outlining and shading.  The cup is in good condition with manufacturing flaws such as glaze pops, iron spots and kiln grit.  There is damage to the handle and rims, wear and gold loss.
