Born Amilcare Santini 1910 Florence Italy, he was an apprentice to the sculptor Colombini.
Santini did a large body of work concentrating on the majesty of elephants, this beauty is no exception. Signed A. Santini on the stomach of the elephant, he stands 8 1/4 inches tall and is approximately 8 inches long. He is mounted on a black platform which has the original foil sticker on the base. In excellent vintage condition.
