This is such an incredibly rare item!Made by Royal Doulton from 1912 to 1926, and designed by Harry Allen ,the Tunis line was part of their seriesware Middle Eastern scenes.
This fabulous, very large candle holder weighs a pound and a half and is 6 inches in diameter. A heavy duty item. These chambersticks were designed to sit solidly on your nightstand and reduce the possibility of fire.
In all my years of buying and selling I have never seen this chamber stick in this pattern, it is quite the find. Without chips or cracks, it is finely crazed, as is common in Royal Doulton from that era.
