Charles Demetropoulos Watercolor Painting Rockport Street June 1952

Delightful watercolor street scene by listed artist Charles Demetropoulos captures the mood of downtown  Rockport, Massachusetts during a summer shower. A woman crosses the street with her umbrella. Someone waits under the porch for the rain to stop.  Cars parked on the street amid the shops and homes of this famous artist's colony. Signed and dated by the artist. June 19, 1952.   The watercolor painting is 24 3/4" x 30 3/4" It bears the stamp from the artist's estate on the back. This painting was last sold at auction in 1996. I have that paperwork and I will give to you. The image itself is in excellent condition while overall this is in very good condition with some wear t o the frame, some areas of discoloration on the mat, and the fabric strip on the fame is loose in areas.
