Albert Scharning Scandinavian enamel heart and ribbon Brooch

Just in!
Designed by Albert Scharning in 1950. This is lovely jeep red heart brooch is offset with a gold Vermeil ribbon.
Fully hallmarked on the back A. Sch. Norway sterling 925S. I have also seen this pin referred to as an Anthurium flower.
Doing research on this type of brooch, I found that Mr. Scharning finished his heart brooches with a C-clasp closure. In looking at the back of this particular brooch, I see that someone had taken it to a jeweler to have the type of clasp changed. This is a very delicate operation to do on enamel jewelry, but they succeeded. The replacement clasp is a much more secure option.

1940s Sterling Silver Handled Pie Server

Measuring 10 1/4 inches long, this beautiful Art Deco pie server is made of stainless steel, with a sterling silver handle. In very good used condition, it has been used but not abused. Vtg Brass Circus Elephant Doing Headstand Accompanied by Trainer Figurine

What an unusual little item this is!
This highly detailed little statue of a circus elephant doing a headstand as his trainer stands beside him was most likely made in Europe.

Standing approximately two and three-quarter inches tall, I believe it is made of brass. I have never seen another statue like this one. A wonderful addition to any circus collection.

1946 Vogue Picture Record BLUES Clyde McCoy Basin Street Blues Backed by Sugar Blues

Vogue picture records are phonograph records on the "Vogue" label and have an illustration embedded in the transparent vinyl of the record. The illustrations on each side of the record are usually related to the title of the song on that side.
"Sugar Blues" and "Basin Street Blues" all on the same Vogue picture 78 RPM record.
Vogue records, always popular with collectors, were collected for their graphics, and you can't beat these, especially the Basin Street (New Orleans Basin Street and Canal Street intersection ) side. However, these are actual musical records.
Both songs were recorded by Clyde McCoy and his orchestra.
Vogue picture records were produced by
Vogue picture records Industries of Detroit, Michigan. The first of the 10-inch Vogue picture records was released to the public in May 1946.
