Vintage Imari Octagonal Charger Platter Peony Birds TOYO Japan 12"

 

Handsome mid century charger sized plate was made in Japan by Toro. 

It features a large focal point peony and birds around the rim. 

Imari style hand enameled transferware is decorated in many shades of red, white and blue.

Large 12" octagonal shape platter is perfect for entertaining.

It is in excellent condition with only minor shelf and wash wear.

Vtg Shafford Blessed Virgin Mary Ceramic Planter

Made in Japan by Shafford this elegant depiction of the Virgin Mary as a planter is in very good vintage condition. It is without chips or cracks but it is finally crazed as is common in this type of mid century pottery. There is some dirt staining in the actual plant pot as you can see in the photos. The planter is 6 1/4 inches high by 4 1/4 inches wide.

Pair 1930s MIJ Lustre Owl Couples Vases Lamp Bases

Made in Japan in the 1930s these fabulous 11 inch tall matching luster vases are in excellent condition, except that each has a hole drilled in the bottom, toward the obvious intent on converting them to lamps. Truthfully they would make wonderful lamps. They are without chips or cracks or scratches, however one of them rocks slightly. If one was going to use them as lamps, the stick on feet that keep ceramic from scratching tables, would raise the vases high enough for a cord to come out of the bottom, and solve the rocking problem on that one vase.

Adorably whimsical, each vase depicts a pair of Comic owls on a branch. 

The painting was done by a very clever artist.

Made in 1982, this floral pedestal centerpiece fruit bowl, is in excellent condition no chips cracks or crazing. Marked on the bottom , Fitz and Floyd and the Roman numerals for 1982. The pedestal measures 5 1/2 inches tall, 7-3/4” inches wide and 12 1/4 inches long.

VTG 1989 Fitz and Floyd OCEANA Teapot White Conch Shell Seashell

Wouldn’t this be a wonderful addition to any nautical themed decor? Made by Fitz and Floyd, this 36 ounce tea pot is in excellent condition no chips cracks or crazing. Shaped like a large white conch shell With a coral handle the teapot is 9 inches long and 7 inches high, and holds 36 ounces. The paper label is still in place on the bottom leading me to believe that this is never been used. Handpainted.

1930s Large Black Gold and Peach Lustre Bowl by Noritake

1930s Takiya Clown Figurine - Made in Japan

Beautiful clown figurine seated on a drum. He is touching his childlike face. The figure is 4-1/2 inches tall. In excellent condition. 

Nicely crafted, and done in 1930's colors. During his manufacturing, this little dude picked up a wee dash of black paint on his right ear, it's his only fault.

Made and marked by the Takiya company in Japan.
