Handsome set of plates are hand painted with colorful enamels. They are in very good condition. They feature different traditional fruits and vegetables. Antique Pair of Japanese Seto Ware Tobacco Leaf Plates

Handsome, well potted pair of dinner sized plates.  Lovely balanced design. Nice shading of the enamels. Approximately 9.5" in diameter.  One plate has a chip on the rim - see photos. Wash wear. Wear to gilding. No utensil marks.  Very good condition. Very cheerful image.  They would look beautiful hung on a wall. See them in our eBay shop here.

 

Vtg Gourd Sack Vase Japanese Lobed Vase

 Measuring 4-1/8” tall this wonderful little vase is decorated with a chrysanthemum design in gold and white on a matte cream body (the background glaze is dipped on as can be plainly seen in the pictures).

Made in Japan it is signed with blue Japanese symbols on the bottom. Most likely made in the 1930s. No chips, no cracks.

Beautiful Japanese Woman Woodblock Print On Fabric

 This is an absolutely beautiful woodblock print of a young Japanese woman reading a scroll that has been hand-painted on fabric. Well framed, I haven’t had the heart to break it out to find out what fabric that is. The overall frame measures 19 1/2 inches high 16 1/2. The measured inside image is 13 1/2 “x 10 3/4”

The colors are bright and wonderful.
