The Ship Vintage Fine Dining Menu Lynnfield MA 1970s Fancy Themed Restaurant

 

Indulge in a trip down memory lane with this vintage menu from The Ship in Lynnfield, MA, circa the 1970s.  It was the ultimate nautical themed restaurant as an actual ship but on the side of the highway. The ship was  built as an American Brigantine and was believed to be the first square rigged vessel built in 100 years.  The food was delicious. A collection of recipes contributed by Woonsocket Call readers and assembled by beloved columnist  Pat Gratton sometime in the late 1970s. The book includes various recipes that have been tried and tested  by the community, making it a reliable source of cooking inspiration.  So many regional treats. The recipe for Dynamite has a brilliant secret ingredient, a sachet of  pickling spice. If stuff like that interests you, you will love this cookbook. Stuffies, chowder, seafood and all manner of sweets and baked goods. I was surprised by the amount of thoughtful diabetic recipes for desserts. I love the reader's aliases. Art Deco Impala Guilloche Vermeil Cufflinks Norwegian Modernist H C Ostrem OXO

Fabulous Art Deco cufflinks feature highly stylized leaping impalas or antelopes surrounded by a white enameled background that has a subtle checkerboard pattern of solid and lined squares. There are two rounded corners in a black enamel. 

These would be perfect wedding cufflinks or a fabulous Christmas gift.

A curved bar attaches the two sides, one of which moves to allow the wearer to put the cufflinks on like a toggle style link.

Expertly crafted from gold washed 925 Sterling silver vermeil and of exceptional quality.

In very good to excellent vintage condition with only very minor usage wear.

Vtg GFMW Sterling Silver Pea Pod Brooch Malachite Peas

This handsome Sterling, silver Peapod brooch is marked GFMW, which stands for Great Falls Metal Works a company that was started in New Jersey in 1960.

This would be a lovely gift for a grandmother of six, or the mother of a married partner who has four children. The lovely malachite beads could represent people ,pets, children, years of a job, actually anything adding up to the number six.
In excellent vintage condition, a bit of tarnish under the vine curly cues.

Travel back in time to the 1960s with this vintage menu and wine list from the Rt 95 Motor Inn Restaurant Lounge in Byfield, MA. Right between Maine and Boston, it was a destination location and a great venue for banquets and weddings. It was a great place to stay if you were going to Hampton or Salisbury Beach for vacation. A fine dining menu and separate wine list that offered all Almaden wines and Le Domiane Champagne for pairing with your meal. Cool mid century graphics.

The item is a hotel room directory from the Newporter Inn in Newport Beach, California, showcasing the hotel's amenities and services. The directory has a unique institutional theme, perfect for collectors or anyone interested in hotel memorabilia.

1920s Gouda Zuid Holland Damascus Vase Arts and Craft Dutch folk art

 

Made in the 1920s this beautiful Gouda vase has a wonderful shape and a lovely polychrome glaze.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks or crazing. There is the occasional tiny glaze pop, typical in the manufacturing of this type of pottery. Marked Damascus 0101S Holland. The vase measures 5 inches tall and approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter.

This Mid Century fine dining, classical French leaning menu from The Mill Falls Restaurant at Echo Bridge is a rare find for collectors.
