Framed Art IN DISGRACE Lithograph Girl with Puppy Dog Bessie P. Gutmann Poem

A nice framed copy of Bessie Gutmann's humorous print "Disgrace".
This features a young girl sent to the corner while her puppy dog tries to comfort her.
Inscribed on the back, from Nana Christmas 1943 with a wonderful poem.
A printed copy of the poem that is based on this print, by M. Leonora Harig? It is a delightful story
 to explain the picture.
Copyright G. & G. Most likely Gutmann & Gutmann.
It's a perfect little tie in.
It is inches 19 tall and just about 15 inches wide.
Very good condition for its age.
Some foxing under the frame. Some some wear to the frame plus dust and debris under the frame.
Nothing serious.
It is a really nice copy of this old print.

Original Mixed Media Donald Gotz Painting Art Birch Tree Landscape

Fabulous little piece of art by Donald Gotz, a listed local artist known for his mixed media,

nautical and naturalist art.

Recently purchased from the artists estate with lot's more to come.

This New England landscape features a small stand of birch trees in a small field, in a pine forest.

Just beautiful, it evokes a pleasant sense of serenity.

Nice size, approx 12" x 18". Perfect for that place that needs a little splash of color.

The painting has a slight wave and the frame is a bit dinged up.

Displays beautifully despite that.

I can virtually feel the sunlight through this painting.

Mid Century Paris Notre Dame Street Scene Watercolor Painting by Ch. Maurice Noted Cathedral Artist

Just an absolutely beautiful mid century image of Notre Dame cathedral and the artists that sold their work in its view. Painted in the 1950s as you can tell from the clothing on the individuals, it depicts a post war Paris street scene.
I believe the painting is a watercolor with conte crayon. In the corner it is signed Ch Maurice in a very distinctive signature. Poor Charles Maurice can be found on the web being called Maurice Charles and given an assortment of birth dates relating to many other historic Charles Maurices. which is a shame because his work is very good. This beautifully framed painting measures 28“ x 24". The inside opening image measures 21 1/2“ x 18“. Purchased from a local estate it is in very very good condition but probably could stand to be re-matted.

Check it out in our Etsy shop here.
