THREE IN THE ROUGH is a painting in a series of unusual yet beautiful golf themed, multi media works of art by Donald Gotz. Pleasing colors and a very tranquil blue backdrop. Needs to be framed or have a wire added to display. An easel would work well too. Has wear from storage. Approximately 8" x 16". Very memorable, edgy, brutalist art. Perfect for home, club, camp, office. I acquired several other edgy golf themed paintings by the artist. Let me know if you are interested in more than one. Happy to make a deal and to combine shipping. Artist statement "As an artist I look at what others consider mundane or uninviting - from the bow of a boat to the branch of a tree, from a few discarded objects to the play of shadows on rocks, to the reflections of a boat's hull against the ever moving water - and see an opportunity for a painting. Nature and man's interactions with nature are the main theme of my work. Be it the remains of old weathered wooden piers, driftwood, old man-made objects that have found their way into the environment, or just natural objects - trees, rocks, water. The work itself may represent man's intrusion into nature or natures own forces at work. The search for subject matter is never far away. It is as near as a lake, the seashore, the local walking trail, or the back yard. Each season brings new opportunities for new paintings. My media of choice is acrylic, because it allows me to choose to work as in oil paint or a looser watercolor style or something in-between, all in one media." Donald Gotz. Donald Gotz is an artist from Framingham, MA. BFA in painting and illustration at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Also studied at The Museum School of Art (Boston) and School of Practical Art. Please examine all the photos to make sure this is to your liking. Sold as seen. This one is heavier than the others. Cottagecore, coastal decor for sure. You won't find cooler golf art. Thank you for looking. |
Gorgeous watercolor painting by celebrated Rockport artist Dominic Demeri.
The landscape is evocative of mist created on the first warm day of spring as the warmth starts to melt the snow.
There is a fortress of solitude feel to this as well.
Just a lovely, serene image.
It measures approximately 20" x 24"
It has been beautifully framed but at some point the glass sustained some scrapes when being moved.
The frame has some wear as well. These scratches are only seen at certain angles and the painting is ready to hang as is. It's such a nice painting it deserves a new frame or at least new glass and I have priced it accordingly.

Sold as shown.
Cottagecore, coastal decor for sure.

Lovely oil painting of a family farm in what appears to be early spring. It is approx 17" long and 13" tall, signed and dated by the artist, Girard. This artist places their signature quite uniquely. The painting features a family farm with windmill and water tank surrounded by a yellow, grassy grain field and flowers. A pond with primitive fence completes the canvas. Girard created several works with this homestead theme in the early 70's. I believe this is the nicest one. Very talented painter and a very intricate work. It will provide any room with a cheery splash of color. Nice early example of 1970's environmentalism becoming an art movement. Totally cottagecore. The painting is in excellent condition but the frame has a few minor issues. It would really benefit from a good cleaning. Check out the photos for accurate condition. |
